When You Know, You Know…Wedding Proposal

When they say, “When you know, you know,” it couldn’t ring truer for this love story. It only took 80 days for Jake to propose to Carissa. While some may think that’s fast, God was in every detail from the very beginning.

On the night of their first date,  both somehow knew it would be their last first date ever. As they sat down at the restaurant, a worship song played, and all the nerves vanished. It felt as though they’d known each other for years. They spent the entire weekend together, ending with a Sunday church service. By day four, Carissa was certain—this was the man she had prayed for. After just a week of knowing each other, Jake made it official, and it all just felt right.

Rain became a significant theme in their journey. On the day of their first date, it poured relentlessly. Carissa prayed that if this date was meant to be, the rain would stop—otherwise, she wouldn’t go. Sure enough, the rain stopped, and she went on that date. Thank God.

Fast forward to the day of the proposal: Carissa had a feeling it was coming. Her family had turned off their locations, raising her suspicions. And once again, rain was in the forecast all day and into the evening. They both prayed for the rain to stop. Miraculously, it did, and just as they approached the spot where Jake would propose, a rainbow filled the sky.

From the very beginning, God confirmed this relationship was from Him, continuously giving them signs along the way. As time passed, there was no doubt in their hearts—They were meant to be together. And the rest, as they say, is history.
