The Miracle of Pregnancy

What makes this relationship and this pregnancy so unbelievably special? 

Love and Commitment: 

Their love story began with a kiss at Victory Bar, and since then, they have been inseparable. The depth of their love and commitment to each other is evident in how they have stood by one another through thick and thin, supporting each other’s dreams, careers, and aspirations.

Triumph Over Adversity: 

Courtney and Jakim’s relationship has faced significant challenges, including Courtney’s battle with Stage 3 Triple Positive Breast Cancer. Despite the obstacles, they supported each other and turned difficult situations into opportunities for growth. This resilience and determination have strengthened their bond and made their journey towards parenthood even more meaningful. Courtney recently celebrated her 5 year cancer-free anniversary. Building careers but also wanting a family, they moved to the beautiful town of Ormond Beach. Courtney is the Operations and Sales Manager of Dick Stark Carpet One Floor & Home in Palm Coast and Ormond Beach. They were married on January 16, 2022. 

Overcoming Fertility Challenges: 

The impact on fertility is dependent on many factors after chemotherapy and radiation. Fortunately, people who are treated for cancer before they are 35 years old have the best chance of becoming pregnant after treatment.  Courtney’s cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatment could have impacted her fertility. However, with time and Jakim’s grace, they have patiently waited for the right moment to start a family. Their perseverance and hope have now been rewarded with the upcoming arrival of their much-awaited miracle rainbow baby due to be born on September 8, 2023. 

Significance of Pregnancy: 

Pregnancy is a time of profound transformation and joy for any parent-to-be. For Courtney, this experience is even more poignant as she cherishes the tiny heartbeat inside her, knowing the miraculous journey she has been through to reach this point. The baby growing inside her is a symbol of hope, love, and life overcoming adversity.
