You’re the Girl of My Dreams

     You’re the girl of my dreams, and now that I have found you, I won’t ever let you go. Marry Me? 

     This young man planned a wonderful early afternoon surprise for his girlfriend- a wedding proposal surrounded by his parents, mother and sister-in-law. He chose the most romantic spot, an area in the Castillo de San Marco that over looked the water. With this picturesque view, now was the plan to surprise his girl. He created a lunch outing with his parents while her sister created a fake event she needed to attend in order to help plan the proposal. Her sister also made sure her nail done. The family and I waited in the designated spot until the future bride and groom arrived. I pretended to be taking pictures of the fort while her sister and mom hid out of view. Once he reached the spot, he got on his knees and proposed. She replied, “Yes, looked at her ring and asked did this really just happen?” They hugged, laughed, and kissed. Everyone celebrated.  She was truly surprised. This is one of the many reasons why I love my job, I get to celebrate with people and share lasting images with them to cherish for a lifetime.
